Villa
Agung is a nice and quiet hotel in North Bali, Lovina. Lovina is
different in many ways from the tourist south. Here in North Bali the
beaches are not white, but volcanic black. The sea is quiet because of
a nearby reef, warm and inviting to swim. Lovina is the name for a row
of beach villages west of the former capital of Bali, Singaraja.
Singaraja has all the facilities a tourist needs, banks, shopping
centers but still is a typical Bali city with many colored markets
where you can try the local food, like sate kambing and bakso. The
central Lovina has some nice nightlife where local bands in the pubs
play Indonesian and western style of music. In the night you see lots
of Balinese boys hanging out in the streets playing music. The hotel
offers a quality restaurant, with western and Asian style food, a
beauty
salon
where you can have a relaxing massage. A library is available, as well
as a boutique where you can buy souvenirs. From the hotel you can do
some sightseeing in the area; The hot springs in Banjar with their 3
meter high sprouts, the Buddhist monastery or some bull racing at
Friday afternoon. In Singaraja you can visit the Gedong Kirtya
Library, one of the oldest in the world. The Singaraja harbor still
shows signs of the Dutch colonial period. Our hotel can help you to
rent a (motor) bike or car. But maybe you just want to relax in our
swimming pool or stroll the beach. |
