Traveling
to Bali:
You will need passport with a validity of at least 6 months and a
empty page for stamping. Your tourist visa is valid for 2 months.
In Bali the rupiah is used, at this time of writing you get about 9000
rupiah for a USD and 9500 rupiah for a EURO. In Singaraja there are
many banks and ATM’s. Western Union money transfer is easy as well as
exchange of travelers checks. There are many local money changers,
check the rates before you change.
Bali is blessed with a tropical climate, an average temperature from
27 to 32 degrees Celsius. The raining season is from December until
March, but even then it is nice to be in Bali.
Don’t take too many clothes, you don’t need them, and there are many
places where you can buy cheap clothes if you need them. Travel light.
Bali is a child friendly place; your children will enjoy Bali.
There are many hospitals in the area of Villa Agung, with good quality
care. Pharmacies may not have anything you might need, so bring a good
supply of your “special” medicines. There is no malaria on Bali.
Before you come it is good to have the usual preventive injections for
tropical countries.
